When you bring your books in for trade, we check your books for condition and desirability and select what we can use. If we already have several copies of a book we may choose not to take that book from you.
We then assign a trade value to your books, which is usually 20% of their cover prices if they’re softcovers, and 10% of their cover prices if they’re hardcovers.
When you make a purchase using your credit, you can use ½ of the purchase price of the books in trade credit, and you pay ½ of the purchase price of the books in cash, check, or credit/debit card.
For example, if your book purchase totals $20.00, you can use $10.00 in trade credit, and then pay $10.00 in cash, check, or credit/debit card.
Trade credit may be applied only to used books.
If you want to bring in used books for trade, please limit the number of books you bring in at any one time to 15 books or only those books that fit in a single grocery bag.
We request that you leave the books with us for 1-2 days, after which we will email you with your credit amount.
